When Starnet submits your mailing list for NCOA
processing, the following services will be done:
NCOALink updates your list using 48 months of data
from the Change of Address forms filed with the United States
Postal Service (USPS). An estimated 44 million people changed
address in 2002 alone, and the COA database contains over 156
million listings.
DPV processing validates address information at the
physical delivery point level. This enables identification of
Undeliverable As Addressed (UAA) mail prior to mailing.
LACSLink processing updates addresses that have
changed through the Locatable Address Conversion Service —
typically involving the renumbering and renaming of existing
city-style addresses or the changing of Rural Route and
Highway Contract addresses to city-style addresses. This
database contains approximately 5 million records.
This will allow us to delete unusable addresses
from your list, saving you money on postage and increasing the
accuracy and deliverability of your list. It is not expensive
and we will get your updated list back in just one business
day.
NCOA updating is now required by USPS for all
pre-sorted mailings. While not required for First Class
mailings, it is recommended. |
